On Sunday, 2 August 2026, at 1:00 p.m., the BABA3115 Business English 2 course, taught by Dr. Phakim Kaoian, led 85 third-year students on a study visit to The Little Prince Café, Suan Phlu, under the theme "Official Store and Services."
The activity was designed as an Experiential Learning experience, enabling students to develop their English vocabulary and communication skills in an authentic business setting. Through direct observation, students explored customer service practices, the production and marketing of officially licensed merchandise, and the concept of creating a distinctive store identity. They also learned how a unique retail environment can create memorable customer experiences, strengthen brand trust, and encourage positive word-of-mouth promotion.
During the visit, Mr. Arnaud Nazare-Aga, the entrepreneur and artist behind the resin sculptures inspired by the world-renowned literary masterpiece The Little Prince, warmly welcomed the students and delivered an insightful presentation on the art business, including the buying, selling, and auctioning of artworks. He also introduced his sculpture collection, "The Fight," which symbolises the Little Prince's journey beyond his comfort zone to embrace the wider world. This powerful message was compared to the journey of IESA students, encouraging them to step outside their own comfort zones, pursue entrepreneurial ambitions with courage, and embrace uncertainty as an essential part of personal and professional growth. The visit provided an inspiring opportunity for meaningful learning and self-development.
At the conclusion of the programme, Mr. Krit Choonharatphan, representing the students, delivered a vote of thanks and presented a commemorative gift to Mr. Arnaud. The study visit proved to be a valuable and inspiring experience, motivating students to develop the mindset and confidence needed to become successful entrepreneurs in the future.
